What happened to thought provoking chats on the beach?
What happened to just sitting and listening to the sounds of the sea?
What happened to playing tap rugger, footsie and dancing the Paula Abdul in the sand?
What happened to getting drunk, making a fool and waking up to greet the rising sun?
Miss the old times. Miss the old company. Miss the strangeness only some could understand.

I admit I’m a drama queen but this ain’t just drama! I know it’s gonna be a freaking circus!!!
I think I’m right royally screwed!!! I have been partnered with an Art Director from another agency to compete in a 3-day competition.
First impressions of Scallywag.
Not good. He talks a lot, I don’t have an issue with that, but he talks nonsense, nothing concrete to peer into his soul and witness his capabilities. I’ll let that pass.
I also think he’s lazy, he spoke a lot or rather explained about sleeping, like it was some alien term. Fine, sleep all you want, do you really want to tell a girl you’ve just met that? Maybe you would do so, if bed was the next destination on your list. Oh well since he wasn’t hitting on me, I guess there’s a massive chance of him zzzzzzzzzzz on the brief. Damnit I swear I’ll wring his neck if he snores!!
Yeah and he’s also short on a few years of adverting experience so I have no, absolutely no clue as to how he works or what he’s done or rather capable of.
I’m scared, really, utterly, terribly scared!!!
Though I look like I can’t move a boulder, I can and I’m fiercely competitive. But for that to work, I need motivation, I need to know my partner will give me their best, when they do, I perform.
This competition is a whole different ball game; because I have no faith in him I will fail to do at least what I’m capable of doing.
I hope he surprises me and proves this post wrong.
SIGH

In type.
Depending on my mood, these days it’s Tahoma. Clean, narrow, reflective.
“All the things you’re not” says my Art Director.
Too bad the blog doesn’t allow fonts of all kinds, I think WordPress is being a bit discriminatory.
Oh well! Peace out!

I’m not anorexic!
What do you call people who want to be fat but can’t put on weight? If there’s a scientific name for that particular complex, well I have it. I was always a slim girl back in my younger years, but now I’ve become skinny girl, like the skinny girl from the chocolate ads that you see on Archive. I hate it, being skinny because every time I see somebody who knows me after a long time, they gasp. They gasp, how dare they? Then they pry my mum as to why I’ve lost so much weight, why I wont eat and then love saying that no one will want to marry me. Oh poor sods, they’re just jealous, fat pigs!!
I’ve tried digesting diary products to a point that I’ve become lactose intolerant. I’ve tried potatoes and yams, and everything fattening… but nada, no fat. While I get skinny, Cookie’s seems to be getting massive, his excuse, there are starving kids in Africa

At a brainstorm, plotting!
Me: If this doesn’t work out lets start a consulting firm where we sell ideas to people who want other people dead.
Pokey: Ok, Curly can be the Idea Generator, I’ll be the Accountant and Psycho Girl could be the Executor, she looks like a serial killer too.
Silence… 10 minutes later…
Psycho Girl: I tried to kill a girl once!
Pokey looks at me and feels awfully uncomfortable.
Pokey: Well killing one person doesn’t make you a serial killer, you might have to kill 2 more.
SFX: Scary music in the background
Psycho Girl turns to look at Sam and me.

Didn’t know a bunch of puppets could make me laugh so hard! Low Life a British Theatre outfit performed skits with puppets as central characters. I was amazed at the simplicity of set design and synchronization. It was seriously worth the 250 bucks we paid. Glad I went for it and will definitely watch them again if they come back for a visit.
Thanks Sam for making me go.
